Last Friday I visited the Washington Post and NPR with the audio journalism (with Marketplace’s Dan Grech) and investigative journalism (with WaPo’s Athelia Knight) classes here.
We met Bob Woodward and Joel Achenbach at lunch at the Washington Post, and Michelle Martin, Ari Shapiro and Robert Siegal at NPR. And I almost got run over by Lakshmi Singh and basically responded in the same way as a 13-year-old girl would have, if Robert Pattinson had rushed past her to record his newscast. Or whatever.

This summer, I was an intern at Marie Claire and was living in Manhattan. So, fashion magazine. And, New York City. I went shopping–a lot.
I ended up going to Buffalo Exchange and other buy-sell-trade stores in the city (Looking for one? Try the East Village!) a lot because I had to get rid of clothes so that my wardrobe would fit in my suitcase when I flew back to California. And also because apparently buying a lot of clothes makes you poor.
